So, due to growing demand from collectors, this service is now available on a limited basis.

Caveman Comics is also an authorised dealer for CGC, allowing comics to be submitted directly for grading on behalf of collectors.

𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗰 𝗖𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 & 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴:
Comic book cleaning and pressing is a conservation process used to improve the appearance of comic books before grading, selling or long-term storage.

Surface cleaning removes dirt and contaminants while pressing helps flatten books and reduce certain defects caused by handling or storage.

Many collectors press books before submitting them to CGC in order to maximise their presentation and potential grading results.

Cleaning and pressing can often significantly improve the appearance of a comic when the defects have not permanently damaged the paper or ink.

Cleaning and pressing cannot repair permanent structural damage or colour breaks.

• Colour breaking creases/broken paper fibres
• Tears or missing paper
• Heavy staining or liquid damage
• Faded ink or sun damage
• Rusted staples
• Detached covers or pages (These can be re-attatched)
• Writing or marker on covers
• Severe structural damage

⚠️ Books with heavy defects will not be accepted for cleaning and pressing.

Before sending your comics please check the following:

• All pages are present & complete
• No coupons have been cut out
• All inserts, posters or pin-ups are intact
• Covers are securely attached
• Comics are packaged safely for shipping

⚠️Submitting comics with missing pages, coupons or inserts will negatively affect grading results.

Caveman Comics provides a CGC submission service for UK collectors, helping prepare and submit books for grading. As an authorised CGC dealer, Caveman Comics can submit comics directly to CGC on behalf of collectors.

This Service Includes:
• Preparing comics for grading
• Cleaning and pressing where requested
• Safely packaging books for submission
• Handling the CGC submission process
• Returning graded comics safely once complete

Once we receive the books back from CGC we need to ship them back to you using one of these methods.

Recommended service with compensation cover up to £1000.

Compensation cover up to £75. Selected at the customer’s own risk.
